The only model court in the region

According to the Decree of the Head of the court administration (from December 12, 2003) the city court of Nova Kakhovka city was added to the list of the court of Ukraine, which were given status of model courts. It is the only one in Kherson region for now.
A respectful building is now needed for a model court as the deputies of Nova Kakhovka decided during the last session of the city council. They decided to buy the administrative building ATP-16507 (according to the expert estimation it costs about 570.000UAH). When the building of 1400sq.m. becomes communal property, the State budget will allocate money for its reconstruction for the court.
A model does not mean an example - tells us the head of the Court Oleksandr Korovayko. - Even though we have good index comparing to average regional indexes regarding cancellation or changing of court decisions and decrees. Model - means new approach to the work as the court reform demands, and introduction of experience of other courts (in our case - Canadian and Russian).
According to Oleksandra Korovayko, the main principles of the work of model courts are now introduced in Nova Kakhovka. Thus, the court administration of Ukraine allocated money to purchase computer network so that judges can operatively communicate, exchange documents and the head of the court can see the stage for each case in this court.
The new court will have five separate departments (instead of a single one now: to receive and register lawsuits, provide consultation and information, ensure technical support, executive department and archive department.
The amount of employees will also increase, and special registration procedure will be introduced - claims will only be received by judges' deputies. It will be done to minimize previous communication of plaintiffs and the judge to avoid pressure and impartiality.
Also judges will have their own specialization: for criminal, civil, family and labor cases. It is important, because the quality of judges' work will become better.
- Later all courts of our country will transfer to such system of work - the Head of the court assured us.
