The 1epic work to save the Students' center, street 28 Armiyska in the district of HBK, was finished almost a month ago. And there are already requests for help from another students' center, which is invaded by people who has nothing to do with teaching children.
"Dream" is a romantic name for the Students' center of ZhEK #1, street Molodezhnaya, 2a. On July 24 the students of the center organized the protest campaign at the closed door of the center. "Take your hands off our center", "Give us back our Elena Ivanovna" - the signs that students wrote on the self-made posters (Elena Ivanovna is a teacher of the Center - Author). So what has happened to the center this time, if the center is in the city possession? Why were the children protecting?
According to the words of protesters, some people came into the center, put their computers and office equipment while the center's teacher was on vacation. When she returned from the vacation - she was fired. Plus, the "invaders" refused to tell who they were and who allowed them to do so, but they were acting very confidently. The children and their parents have the impression that they were business representatives, who came for a long time, and may be forever.
- No one closed the center. We do not have such power without the decision of the city executive committee. The teacher is now on vacation, and children can not be in the center without their teacher - the same commented Inna Tribukh, the Head of ZhEK #1. - Plus, we have the right to give the center for the temporary rent while there are no children, she continued, and as it seems she was not very confident in her words.
It is hard to tell now who is right and who is wrong in this situation. May be the children and their parents misunderstood something? And may be ZhEK has changed their primary intentions after the protesting campaign, posters, journalists interviews for a few newspapers?
The fact that ZhEK violated the law of Ukraine "About extracurricular education" is not doubtful. This law forbids usage of centers for extracurricular education for other goals, including temporary rent even for a few days…
On July 29 Inna Petrovna assured the author of this article that the students' center is "free". The teacher Elena Ivanovna comes back from her two-week vacation on August 8 and the doors of the "Dream" will open again for local kids.
