The students' center, street 28 Armiyska, will function.
Our newspaper ##6 (19), 12 (25) told our readers about the trouble that
happened to the students' center. We will remind you of the content: the
last teacher of the center was fired by the management of the company,
which owns the building - dormitory of the family type. And its 150 students
from the nearby family dormitories can find themselves on the street.
The teacher filed a claim to the court, arguing the legality of her dismissal
and started looking for support from the community…
Everyone has his own truth in this story. The company can hardly pay its
bills, it is too difficult for the company to pay the salary to the teacher
of the students' center, as she has nothing to do with the manufacture.
The city executive committee has constant troubles with the budget and
it is problematic to pay a salary to the teacher. But all in all, the
truth of parents and the teacher Stanislava Antonivna Podobyeda "we
will not give our children to the streets" - is the strongest truth.
They managed to raise and protect the last students' center in the district
of HBK together with leaders of NGO, deputies, and journalists. The mediations
between the HBK and the city council took two months, they wrote lots
of collective letters, published articles in the newspapers.
Finaly, on April 3 there was a meeting between the mayor's deputy Sergiy
Cherevko and the lawyer of HBK, Sergiy Ulanivsky. There were also representatives
of the coalition of NGO in Kherson region "Partnership for transparrent
society" Igor Zhytchenko and the author of this article, Oleksandr
Burmagin, as well as the deputy of the city council Pavlo Maslov. Everyone
knew the answer to the question, "where will the children go if the
center, where they could play ping-pong, organize disco, arrange a contest,
is closed?" That's why the decision was made in 20 minutes: HBK will
provide the center free of charge, and the city council will pay the salary
to the teacher and bills for utilities. To cross all the Ts, Sergiy Cherevko
called the chief engineer of HBK Viktor Bayrachenko. He confirmed: the
company agrees to cooperate with the city council in such a way.
It seems like the court has nothing to help with in this story. Today
they already prepared an agreement about cooperation between HBK and the
city executive committee. When all the stamps dry out, we can make a sigh
of releif!
