Not long ago the judge from Dniprovskiy district court in the city of Kherson Mr. Ovchynnikov demonstrated absolute independence from everything - even from simple logic and Law: he decided to punish the Head of a voluntary Trade union for the delay in salaries.

This last summer the State labor inspection of Kherson was checking whether the joint agreement was being fulfilled and salaries were being paid to employees of Open Stock Venture "SATP-2103". The inspection had detected that the joint agreement was not being fulfilled, labor laws were violated and debt in salary was 65 thousand UAH. The inspection had passed on the materials of this case to the local court.

On August 15^th 2002 Mr. Ovchynnikov signed the court decision: director of the Venture together with the Head of the trade union Mr. Veretyonov (who heads the union voluntarily, does not get any salary for this job and has nothing to do with the delay in salaries at the Venture) have to pay a fine. More than this, Mr. Veretyonov was not even asked to come to the court hearing. He received the court decision only on September 20 and suprisingly for himself found out that the "decision can not be appealed" and he has to pay 225 UAH of fine.

Now only the Supreme court (if it will want so) can help the Head of Trade union.
