For successful reforms in Ukrainian legislative system and
administrative organs we need professional lawyers who have certain imagination
about actual problems of society. IRF program "Juridical clinics"
offers possibility to satisfy the country's need in such professionals.
Work of young lawyers in "juridicla clinic" allows them to realize
the value and meaning of gained theoretic knowledge and master the technology
of using these knowledge on practice. It contributes to development of
communication skills, analysis of information, usage of psychological
methods that are necessery for every lawyer in his everyday work.
Free legal advise is aimed at fulfillment of constitutional principle
of equality of citizens during protection of their rights. According to
chapter 1, article 59 of the Consitution of Ukraine "Everyone has
the right to legal assistance. Such assistance is provided free of charge
in cases envisaged by law. Everyone is free to choose the defender of
his or her rights". Due to unstable socio-economical situation in
Ukraine, first of all due to low profits of ordinary citizens, most of
citizens have status of being poor. Relations between citizens and governmental
establishments are too formalized and demand written appeal. Writing of
such documents for money is impossible for poor citizens, and it deprives
them of their right to solve a case without court.
Program of IRF "Juridical clinics" first of all involves active,
creative people. People, who are not indifferent to destiny of citizens
and the country, participate in this project. During the history of this
program there were a lot of "juridical clinics" that received
high evaluation of citizens who think such activity is very appropriate.
A lot of cases had positive court decision.
Program "Juridical clinics" filled emptiness that existed in
the sphere of legal assistance to poor citizens of
Ukraine. When citizens learn about possibility to protect their rights
they become more effective in their actions. They lost the stereotype
of "unaccessibility and impossibility to fulfill their rights in
the rotten system of fulfillment of rights".
