No one was responsible for this death

"We think that Mr. Lovygin P.A. was killed with a firearm in his head…" - from the request to the general prosecutor's office.

The Kherson press wrote about murder of the Transport police inspector Mr. Lovygin, which occurred in Antonovka. The press also wrote about sufferings of his mother. Within the recent four years since her son's murder, Mrs. Lovygina tries to find out how and why it had happened, who is guilty and why the guilty person has not been punished yet.
And all these years the police and judges ensure her that her son was killed in an accident and no one is guilty. According to the official version, on January 14, 2000 during a military training called "Sirena" the gun accidentally fired. The inspector himself participated in the training and the mock seizure.
That day (from his mother's explanations to the General Prosecutor): "Mr. Lovygin together with Mr. Ivanov played the role of criminals and were driving the car… they approached a police station, where according to the request of Mr. Shevkovich they had to stop and step out of the car, put their hands on cowling and stand. According to the witnesses, Mr. Shevkovich knew that the training "Sirena" was a trial military seizure. The police station was informed about this through the police radio network.
Nevertheless, when Mr. Lovygin and his partner were still in the car, Mr. Shevkovich turned his gun off the safety mode and pushed a cartridge to the chamber… Then he conducted a search of Mr. Ivanov and took away his gas pistol. After this Mr. Shevkovich aimed the gunpoint at the ribs of Mr. Lovygin and in 10 seconds the shot was heard…"
This is how a person's life ended. Mr. Shevkovich who shut the gun was an employee of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and in some time he was amnestied. No one from the MIA was called to account, and General Ivushkin, who headed regional branch of the MIA at the time of this accident received promotion. Here is what the mother wrote to the General prosecutor's office "… in result, the investigator named more than twenty violations by the officials of MIA in Kherson region, and then he himself shut down the criminal case due to absence of corpus delicti…"
Galina Ivnovna, the mother, is sure that such contradictions in actions of MIA officials, unwillingness of prosecutors to fully inspect the case show that the official version of her son's death is only a rapidly composed legend.
From the same request: "…on January 17, 2000 during the funeral ceremony the deceased did not have any makeup on. The punch in the eyebrow, presumably with the gun butt, bruises near eyes were not covered with make up, there was a dent on the forehead with the diameter of firearm, which was covered with white powder. We think that Mr. Lovygin P.A. was killed with a firearm in his head …"
The request also named a number of other negligence that law-enforcement bodies made during investigation of the crime committed by the policeman.
Galina Ivanovna will fight further, even if the General prosecutor's office will only write a formal letter in response to her request for explanation. She already has experience in vigil - a lot of newspapers wrote about people with posters who surrounded the White house. They demanded fair trail and punishment of MIA employees. If their demands are ignored, they promised to refuse form Ukrainian citizenship.
Last names of the MIA employee who killed Mr. Lovygin and his partner are changed.
